These terms cover the Zevli app and this website. Zevli is published by MSR Technology Pty Ltd (ACN 697 828 023), Melbourne, Australia. By using Zevli you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Zevli.
What Zevli is
Zevli reads pet food labels and tells you what they say. It shows a food's ingredients and nutrition figures, a score worked out from them, and, if you add a pet, how the food sits for that pet.
What Zevli is not
Zevli is not a vet and does not give veterinary advice. It does not diagnose anything. It cannot tell you whether a food is safe or right for your animal.
If your pet has a health condition, an allergy, is losing or gaining weight unexpectedly, or you are unsure what to feed, talk to your vet. Do not delay seeing a vet, or ignore a vet's advice, because of something in Zevli.
About the information
- It comes from labels. Zevli takes its information from the pack, the maker's own pages and stores' listings. We don't test food.
- Labels change. A maker can change a recipe at any time. The pack in your hand is always the final word. If Zevli and the pack disagree, trust the pack.
- Allergy checks are a reading of a label. When Zevli says an ingredient is not named on a label, it means exactly that. It does not mean the food is free of it. Where Zevli has no ingredient list, it cannot check at all, and it says so.
- A score is Zevli's own analysis. It is worked out by fixed rules that are the same for every food and are explained in the app. It is a view of a label, not a statement about a brand or a maker, and not a recommendation to buy or to avoid anything.
- Daily amounts are estimates. They are worked out from the food's label and what you have told Zevli about your pet. Your vet's advice comes first.
- Zevli doesn't have every food, and for some foods it holds less than the full picture. It tells you when that is so.
We work to get this right. We can't promise that everything in Zevli is complete, current or free of mistakes.
Using Zevli
You may use Zevli for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't:
- copy, scrape or bulk-download Zevli's information
- use it to build or feed another product or service
- try to break, overload or get around the limits of the app or the service
- use it in any way that breaks the law
Photos you send
If you send Zevli a photo of a pack, you confirm that you took it or have the right to send it. You let us use it to read the label, to keep with our record of that food, and to check our work. We do not publish photos you send. How long we keep them is set out in the privacy policy.
Zevli Plus
Scanning is free. Zevli Plus is a paid subscription that adds further features. It is not on sale yet. When it is:
- You will buy it through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which take the payment.
- The price and the length of any free trial are shown before you buy.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least a day before the renewal date.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Who owns what
Zevli, its name, its design, its scores and its explanations belong to MSR Technology Pty Ltd. Brand names, product names and pack pictures belong to their owners and are shown to identify the products. Zevli is independent. It is not connected with, paid by, or endorsed by any pet food brand or store.
Our responsibility to you
Australian consumer law gives you rights that can't be taken away, and nothing in these terms tries to.
Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows:
- Zevli is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors.
- We are not responsible for a decision you make about feeding or caring for an animal on the strength of Zevli alone.
- We are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss we could not reasonably have foreseen.
Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Changes
We may change Zevli or these terms. If we change the terms, we will update the date at the top. If you keep using Zevli after a change, you accept the new terms.
Stopping
You can stop using Zevli at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access for anyone who misuses it.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
